PING LACSON – The Senate President Pro Tempore reacted to the illegal drug use accusations of Sen. Imee Marcos against Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

The recent remarks of Sen. Imee Marcos against Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned different reactions from the Filipino people. Countless Filipinos were surprised when Sen. Imee Marcos accused PBBM of allegedly using illegal substance. She made the remarks at the rally organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, their family is supposedly aware about the problem with Pres. Bongbong Marcos. She claimed that her brother allegedly got more engaged in using illegal drugs following his vice presidential loss in 2016 and he was left with no work.

The Senator claimed that her brother was allegedly using illegal drugs already even when their father, the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was still around. According to her, then, he was still not her responsibility as their patriarch was still present.

Amid her accusations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, Sen. Imee Marcos called on her brother to stop and get some treatment. According to her, she can take it even if he would lose the presidency but she cannot afford to lose him to illegal drugs.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos is mum over the accusations of Sen. Imee Marcos. Recently, several government officials reacted to the unexpected remarks of the presidential sister. One of those who spoke on the issue is Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson.

Based on a post of News5 on social media, Sen. Ping Lacson claimed that he felt pity towards Pres. Bongbong Marcos. On the other side, he admitted that he lost confidence on Sen. Imee Marcos.

““Sa akin, I can only say for myself: Mas nakaramdam ako ng awa kay Pres. Bongbong Marcos. At nawalan ako ng bilib kay Senadora Imee sa kanyang ginawa,” Lacson said.

Based on the post, Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson also claimed that there are allegedly a lot of venues where Sen. Imee Marcos may express her sentiment. He believes that such remarks should not be done in front of thousands of people.
