Kris Aquino Embraces Her “Probinsyana” Life Away from the City

Kris Aquino is embracing a new chapter in her life while still on treatment.

Media personality Kris Aquino has officially embraced a new chapter in her life away from the city, while still treating her multiple autoimmune conditions.

“Queen Of All Media” Kris Aquino is now calling herself “probinsyana,” as she embraces a full provincial life in this new chapter of her life. To recall, it has been 10 years since she stepped out of the limelight to focus on improving her health and treating her autoimmune conditions.

Kris now has a total of 11 autoimmune disorders, and despite her conditions, she remained strong and faithful to her two sons, family, and to the people who have tirelessly prayed for her full recovery.

Some of her autoimmune conditions are:

  • Autoimmune Thyroiditis
  • Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
  • EGPA (Eosinophilic granulomatosis)
  • Systemic Sclerosis/Scleroderma
  • Lupus
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Polymyositis
  • Mixed Connective Tissue Disease

As her treatment continues, she decided to move with her sons to Tarlac, to her mother’s house. Earlier this year, she had already been vocal about relocating outside Metro Manila and even spoke about renovating a home within their family compound.

Fast forward to now, she declared that she is now a “probinsyana” in a post. She shared in the caption, “Probinsyana na si KCA and it’s #lovelovelove.”

In the same post, she shared a peek into their daily life at home, and how they are adjusting to a simpler and more intimate setup as a “nuclear family.”

“We’re learning to be a nuclear family. I admit we have 2 nurses, 2 assistants, several men BUT we set a rule- when it’s dinner time, the 3 of us will eat together and bond like a family,” she wrote, except when they are listening to new songs.

She has been writing down lyrics she doesn’t want to forget, and reflected on the realization of getting old. This phase in her life now is “a sad reminder of aging but a beautiful acceptance that we should always be eager to learn.”

Aquino also shared a touching story about her conversation with her eldest son, Josh. She informed him that they will be transferring to the ancestral home of her late mother, former President Cory Aquino.

He didn’t want it first but was appeased when she told him that his Lola wanted him to have it.

Despite her continuous health challenges, she concluded her post with a message of strength and perseverance: “The bone pain is awful because of the weather. But this is now part of my life and it hasn’t broken my spirit yet.”
