Beauty queen Catriona Gray has this advice for MUPH 2025 Ahtisa Manalo.
This is the advice Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray gave to Ahtisa Manalo, this year’s PH bet in the Miss Universe pageant.
The country’s representative in Miss Universe 2025 is Ahtisa Manalo. The 74th Miss Universe will be held in Thailand, and this is the fourth time the “Land of Smiles” will host the pageant. The most recent edition, hosted in 2018, saw the Philippines’ Catriona Gray emerge victorious, earning her country its fourth Miss Universe title.
Recently, as the pageant approaches, Gray, one of the best Miss Universe queens, was asked what she would advise the country’s representative. To recall, Gray’s flawless performance during her time in the pageant brought her smoothly to the crown. She set the bar higher in the pageantry.
As someone known as one of the best in the field, she could only advise her to protect her peace and to endure, as the journey would be a marathon.
She said, “My advice to Ahtisa is to really just protect her peace. To really find ways to endure because it is such a marathon. Even though it’s a week to week, every day counts.”
But knowing Ahtisa’s background and experience, she knew she had the endurance for this. For her, one of Ahtisa’s strengths is her strong presence on stage. They already competed together, and the years she spent competing have been refined and amplified.
Meanwhile, in the past years, Catriona was invited as a backstage correspondent and sideline host, but this year, she did not receive the invitation. According to her, she received a message saying there will be changes. However, she decided to do her part and show her support as an audience member. She will be there on the grand coronation day.
