Chie Filomeno apparently has moved on from his past with Jake Cuenca
Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno admitted that she is satisfied with her newfound connection in life.
Just recently, it was confirmed that Chie has ended her relationship with actor Jake Cuenca. Rumors surfaced that she left him for Cebu-based businessman Matthew Lhuillier. Chie has not yet confirmed directly the real score between her and Matthew.
However, several personalities were entangled in this, aside from Jake. Chie claimed that actress Sofia Andres was making an effort to destroy her name, and even actress Sarah Lahbati was mentioned. Allegedly, Sofia made it look like the rumor about Chie was from Sarah.
Amid the chaos in her breakup with Jake Cuenca, Chie Filomeno shared her newfound connection. In an Instagram post, Chie slammed those who accused her of having other sources of livelihood. Rumor has it that someone else is allegedly providing for herself and her family.
The actress stressed that she has served as a provider since she was young. This was the reason why Chie begged bashers to stop the malicious spreading of this gossip.
She said people have seen her growth in the entertainment industry, and she was openly criticized or praised.
“Pero gaya ng lagi kong sinasabi: I am a public figure, but I am not public property. I want to repeat that, kasi lately, my name and reputation have been questioned again because of recent issues,” the actress said.
She also talked about how she fulfilled her dream of becoming an actress.
Meanwhile, the actress ultimately said that she is grateful for her past relationships. She said that she is now happy with the new connection she has found and wants to protect it from the public.
“And when it comes to my personal life—my previous relationship was public, and I’m thankful for that chapter. But now, I’ve found new connections and safe spaces that I want to protect from unnecessary attention. This time, I’m choosing peace and privacy,” she said.
Then, Chie Filomeno said that when the time comes, people will see what love looks like when it’s nurtured quietly. She also said that for now, this is just what she can share. “My truth, my story, my peace I hope I won’t have to explain myself again,” she added.
