Following the series of cryptic posts, actress-dancer Chie Filomeno releases a statement speaking about the circulating issues.
Batang Quiapo actor Jake Cuenca has previously confirmed the split with actress Chie Filomeno. He said, “I’m good at least, parang it’s a lot to take, di ba? Andaming nangyayari andaming sinasabi ng mga tao. I can officially say that chapter of my life is over now.”
Jake and Chie’s split was confirmed after the rumors about the actress leaving the actor for businessman Matthew Lhuillier surfaced.
Because of this, the issues started to branch out until they eventually involved someone named “Sofia.” Chie also revealed that a friend betrayed her by talking to other influencers to spread hate against her.
As the buzz still continues, Filomeno released a statement wherein she clarified and expressed her feelings about the rumors. According to her, she has been working since she was for her family and the stories being spread about her, discrediting her hard work, as baseless and false.
She stressed, “Wala po itong katotohanan. Marangal po akong nagtatrabaho para sa mga minamahal ko. It’s unfair for me to be judged like this—especially as someone who has worked hard just to make her loved ones proud. Anyone who has carried that kind of responsibility will understand how heavy it can be.”
Filomeno also talked about her split with Cuenca, and she felt thankful for that chapter in her life. While she’s grateful, she now has new connections and safe spaces she wants protected.
She reiterated that she is now choosing peace and privacy, and wanted to show others what love looks like when nurtured quietly.
Towards the end of her statement, she wrote: “For now, this is what I can share — my truth, my story, my peace. I hope I won’t have to explain myself again.”
