Sen. Raffy Tulfo Release Copy of Joint SALN with Wife Jocelyn
RAFFY TULFO – The Senator and his wife, Jocelyn Tulfo, declared a net worth of P1.05 billion with no liabilities as of December 2024.
Some senators recently released their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth or SALN. It came after Ombudsman Boying Remulla reopened the SALN of government officials to the public. He issued a memorandum that reversed the circular released under the term of retired former Ombudsman Samuel Martires.
In his decision to lift the restrictions on public access to the SALN, Remulla stressed the principle embedded in the Philippine Constitution that “Public office is a public trust”. Currently, the consent of the SALN owner is no longer a requirement in requesting for the said document.
The Ombudsman is the repository of the SALN of the president, the vice president, and the officials of the local government and the Constitutional commissions. While the senators were not required to issue a copy of the records of their assets, liabilities, and net worth, many of them voluntarily disclosed their wealth.
Sen. Raffy Tulfo is one of the senators who recently joined the list of senators who revealed their wealth. He issued a copy of his joint SALN with his wife, ACT-CIS partylist Representative Jocelyn Tulfo.
Based on a report on GMA News, Sen. Raffy Tulfo and his wife, ACT-CIS partylist Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo, declared a net worth of P1,052,977,100.00 as of December 2024. They listed 9 real estate properties that are worth over P376 million as among their joint assets. They own several agricultural and commercial lots.
Furthermore, Sen. Raffy Tulfo and Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo also listed their vehicles which are at least 14 cars as well as their bank accounts that contained over P280 million. Based on the report, the couple stated no liabilities or debts in their joint SALN.
The disclosure of the net worth of the Senator came after the Office of the Ombudsman requested the lawmakers to publicized their SALNs. Aside from Sen. Raffy Tulfo, Sen. Robin Padilla also revealed his declared net worth as of December 2024. He also has no liabilities listed in his SALN.
However, while the senators were releasing copies of their SALNs, the House of Representatives previously confirmed that they are ready to craft rules in the release of the SALNs of the members of the lower chamber.
