A father and his 15-year-old son died after being hit by a truck after buying a birthday cake in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The victims were identified as Michael Calaya and his teenage son, both residents of Tupi, South Cotabato. According to initial reports, the father and son were on their motorcycle on their way home after buying a birthday cake.
Based on the investigation, the truck involved allegedly lost its brakes while traveling at high speed. Witnesses shared that the father and son tried to move to the side of the road to avoid the vehicle.
