Two Tricycle Passengers Lost Their Lives After SUV Driven by Alleged Minor Crashes in Bacolod City
Two passengers lost their lives after a tragic road accident involving a tricycle and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) reportedly driven by a minor in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
Recently, the Facebook page RMN DYHB Bacolod 747 shared photos of a tragic accident in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental involving a tricycle and an SUV. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.
The collision happened early in the morning around 4 a.m. on Tuesday (October 21, 2025), at the intersection of Gatuslao and BS Aquino streets.

When the medical response team arrived, two of the tricycle passengers were already lifeless. They were identified as Cheralyn Poja and Redilla Gamgam, both residents of Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago.
The tricycle was being driven by Openiano Ayco from Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City. Two other passengers, Crislyn Poja and Roda Tipon, were also inside the tricycle during the crash.
Initial investigation by the Bacolod City Police Traffic Management Unit revealed that the SUV was traveling from west to east, while the tricycle was moving from south to north when they collided at the intersection.

Authorities said the SUV was allegedly driven by a minor from La Castellana, Negros Occidental. The impact of the crash caused fatal injuries to Cheralyn and Redilla, leading to their untimely deaths.
Meanwhile, the tricycle driver and two other passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police continue to investigate the case to determine possible charges and confirm the identity of the SUV driver. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the importance of responsible driving, especially when it involves underage drivers.
