Class Suspensions for Monday (October 20) Due to Tropical Storm Ramil and Health Concerns 

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units across the country have declared class suspensions for Monday (October 20, 2025) due to Tropical Storm Ramil. 

The decision comes as Tropical Storm Ramil (Fengshen) continues to bring heavy rains and gusty winds over parts of Luzon. Other areas also suspended classes due to flu outbreaks and ongoing school repairs. 

In the Ilocos Region, most parts of Pangasinan province suspended in-person classes to ensure the safety of students and teachers. 

Pangasinan 

  • No classes, all levels (public and private) – Alaminos, Basista, Binmaley, Calasiao, Dasol, Lingayen, Malasiqui, Mangatarem, Rosales, San Fabian, San Carlos City, Sta. Barbara 
  • No face-to-face classes; shift to modules – Aguilar, Bayambang, Bugallon, Labrador, Mabini, Pozorrubio, Santo Tomas, Sual, Urbiztondo 

In Central Luzon, several provinces also declared class suspensions due to strong winds and flooding. 

Central Luzon 

  • Aurora – Dingalan (all levels, including government offices) 
  • Bataan – province-wide 
  • Bulacan – Calumpit 
  • Nueva Ecija – Cabanatuan City (preschool to senior high school) 
  • Pampanga – Angeles City, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Fernando, Sasmuan, Sta. Ana 
  • Tarlac – San Clemente 
  • Zambales – Candelaria, Castillejos, Masinloc, Sta. Cruz, Subic 

Calabarzon 

  • Cavite – province-wide, including Carmona (all levels) 
  • Rizal – Montalban/Rodriguez (no face-to-face classes; shift to modules) 
  • Quezon – Lucena City (no face-to-face classes, Oct. 20–22 due to flu and pneumonia cases) 

Other Regions 

  • Occidental Mindoro – Lubang (all levels) 
  • Capiz – Roxas City (no classes, Oct. 20–22) 
  • Cebu – Lapu-Lapu City (all levels) 
  • Surigao del Sur – Cantilan (all levels) 
  • Cavite – Ternate (no classes, Oct. 20–25 due to flu cases) 

According to PAGASA, parts of Luzon remain under Signal No. 2 as Tropical Storm Ramil continues to affect the region. The weather bureau expects the storm to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by early Monday morning.
