Benjamin Alves had a chance encounter with Vince Dizon
Kapuso actor Benjamin Alves admired how Secretary Vince Dizon is handling the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The public works and highways secretary has been garnering the public’s attention for his hard work. Some netizens even joked about the drastic change in his looks months after he started leading the agency.
However, most of the comments on him online were praise and messages of admiration for his efforts to lead the department, which had been under the chaos of anomalous flood control projects.
Benjamin Alves was one of the people who showed admiration for Secretary Vince Dizon. Based on the interview by PEP, the Kapuso actor shared that he had a chance encounter with the DPWH head.
Benjamin shared that they greeted each other with a nod, and he called the secretary “idol.” The actor admitted that he is a fan of the public official. For the actor, Vince Dizon is a man of action. This is the reason why he is a fan of the secretary.
“I’m a fan! He really did more in what, less than two months, sixty days? Man of action, I guess. That’s the best way to describe him. When he said he’s gonna clean house, you see it’s happening. You see him out there trying to do the service na hinihingi natin sa isang public servant, so I’m a fan,” Benjamin shared.
One of the recent developments in the probe into the anomalous flood control projects was the revelation of the DPWH Secretary that there were new names involved in the anomaly, and this will be filed with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
