Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Marcos Jr. Admin Anew
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that the Marcos Jr. administration was allegedly attacking her even during her stint as the secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
The rift between Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Duterte is no secret to the Filipino people. The Filipinos started to notice the souring relationship between the President and the Vice President when she resigned from being the DepEd secretary.

Aside from leaving the education department, the Vice President also left the Cabinet of Marcos Jr. According to her, she left the DepEd for both personal and work reasons.
Amid the criticisms on her stint as the education secretary, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously claimed that Marcos Jr. allegedly asked her to stay as the DepEd secretary when she tendered her resignation. Her claim came after Malacañang branded her stint as allegedly “a complete failure”.

Duterte also previously claimed that the Marcos Jr. admin allegedly has no plans and direction at all. She even supported her claim citing that she was once part of the Cabinet. She also previously claimed that it is no longer her fault if the president supposedly does not know how to be a president.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte attended the news forum in Quezon City. At the forum, the Vice President claimed that she was allegedly attacked by the Marcos Jr. admin even when she was still the DepEd secretary. She served as the education secretary from 2022 to 2024.
According to her, it took her a while to realize her value as a public official. Based on the post, it came to her that she should not be treated that way as she was allegedly not doing anything wrong.
“Kahit nakaupo ako Cabinet secretary, sa DepEd… inaatake ako ng administrasyon; it took me a while to realize my worth and value as government official, hindi dapat ganito ang ginagawa sa akin dahil wala naman akong ginagawang masama,” the Vice President said.

Amid the flood control issue, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is confident that the investigation will not lead to her. She stressed that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the DepEd had no flood control projects.
However, as for the claim of Pres. Bongbong Marcos on the speculations that the flood control probe will lead to Malacañang, the Vice President expressed a doubt.
