In a recent statement, based on the report in Abante News, Sen. Tito Sotto said that black propaganda and fake news aiming to destroy him, Sen. Ping Lacson, and Sen. Migz Zubiri have been circulating.

This came after the write-ups that surfaced online alleging that he is pushing to add one more year in the K to 12 program, change the senior citizen eligibility to 35 years old, and to put 50 percent tax to content creators.

“Grabe [ang fake news]. Talagang parang mayroong, ano tawag dun, may directed, mayroong propaganda talaga against the Senate, against myself,” the Senate President said.

“That is the best word. I think there is a concerted effort by some quarters. I don’t know who. We’ll try to find out,” the veteran politician said.

Sen. Tito Sotto also believed that their detractors had nothing to throw at them, and the only thing they can do is to create fake news about them.
