Burglars Caught Breaking Into Home While Victims Were Asleep in Sampaloc, Manila
Several burglars were caught on CCTV after breaking into a home in Sampaloc, Manila, while the victims were sound asleep.
In the video, the burglars can be seen carefully entering through an unlocked door and moving around the house as the residents slept. They took several valuable items, including gadgets, cash, and personal belongings, before quietly escaping into the night.
“Bale, parang salisi, nakatulog po ‘yung tatlo, boyfriend po niya tsaka siya. Tapos, ‘yung tatay niya. Tapos, sinamantala po ‘yung pag tulog, tapos doon po kinuha ‘yung gamit,” Barangay Kagawad Fe Dulay said.
The victims only discovered the incident the next morning when they noticed their things were missing and their home was in disarray. Shocked and frightened, they immediately reported the break-in to the authorities.
The police are now reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the suspects and track them down. “Siguro pagod sa trabaho, nakatulog hanggang parang nasalisihan na sila sobrang himbing ng tulog nila,” Fe explained.
Neighbors were also alarmed by what happened, with many expressing fear and concern for their own safety. Some residents have already started taking extra precautions, such as installing locks and security cameras to avoid a similar incident.
“Hindi po eh, dayo po ‘yun. Pero, hindi po namin talaga kilala, hindi rin po kilala nung ano, nung napagnakawan. Baka, namanman na po yun,” she added.
Authorities reminded the public to always double-check doors and windows before sleeping or leaving home. They also encouraged homeowners to install security systems and outdoor lights to deter potential intruders.
The police officers reminded the public that crimes can happen even in the most unexpected moments. Staying alert and taking safety measures can make a big difference in preventing such incidents.
