The President stressed that a resignation of a government official who is linked to anomalies is “not enough”. He stressed that the ghost and substandard flood control projects have inflicted a huge deal of damage to the lives of the people.

According to Marcos Jr., he exposed the alleged irregularities in the flood control projects not for political reasons but because he cannot allow corruption which he described as “deeply entrenched” to continue. He stressed that the economy’s growth won’t allegedly go the proper way if the corruption will continue.
