Anne Curtis Speaks Against Corruption, To Join Protest

In an Instagram post, Anne Curtis made strong points about corruption.

ABS-CBN superstar Anne Curtis takes a stand against corruption and shares that she’s attending the protest on September 21.

The corruption in flood control projects has enraged the public, which has led to widespread rallies and protests. This was the public’s way not just to express rage, but also to call out justice and hold those accountable and responsible.

Many were vocal about how it angered them as things about corruption unfolded through a series of congressional hearings. Recently, among those who spoke and took a stand against corruption is Anne Curtis. The ABS-CBN superstar used her platform with millions of followers to call out the thieving officials.

As one of the top taxpayers of the country, it matters to her where the money goes.

What pains her most is knowing that even with all the hard work, sacrifices, and challenges people go through, the country continues to suffer, weighed down by the consequences of corruption.

She believes in the purpose of paying taxes, which is for the advancement of the nation, the upliftment of communities, and, most importantly, for the support of fellow Filipinos in need—particularly the youth and children who are deprived of proper nutrition and adequate education.

However, with the current events, it appears that taxes were not used properly, and with this being said, she highlighted the importance of using our voice to end corruption.

“It’s time we use our voices to END CORRUPTION in our country para sa mga anak natin at para sa future generation of Filipinos. See you tomorrow,” she wrote.
