VP Sara Duterte has traveled to various places, locally and internationally, and here are some of the documented trips of the second-in-command.
Based on a previous article, Office of the Vice President (OVP) budget division chief Atty. Kelvin Gerome Tenido revealed the total expenses of Vice President Sara Duterte for the trips she made in the first seven months of this year.

As of July 2025, Duterte spent ₱20.68 million for her local and foreign trips – ₱13.207 million was allocated for local travels, while ₱7.473 million went to foreign trips. The amount spent on local trips accounted for about 40% of the OVP’s 2025 budget allocation, while expenses for foreign travels made up roughly 25% of the office’s budget for the year.
Where did the vice president go?
- January 2025 – Japan
This was a private trip, and among the activities she did was visit various OFW groups during the course of this personal travel. - March 2025 – Hong Kong
She returned on March 11 with her children after “a personal trip to Hong Kong last weekend.” She joined her father in attending a sortie for PDP-Laban candidates. - March 12 – Netherlands
She returned on April 6 and went there to assist her father’s lawyers. Former president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested in March by local police after the International Criminal Court (ICC) released an arrest warrant. - May 26 to June 4 – Qatar and Netherlands
She met with Filipino workers in Qatar on May 27, and on May 30, she flew to visit her father in his detention facility. Senator Imee Marcos was with her during her travels to Qatar and The Hague. - June 2025 – Malaysia
She went to Kuala Lumpur and led the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration, which was part of her mandate as the President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). She returned on June 14. - June 2025 – Australia
Duterte attended a “Free Duterte Now” rally in Melbourne. She returned on June 24. - July 8, 2025 – Netherlands
According to the OVP, this trip was “part of her scheduled rotation visit to Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.”
