From Camp Crame, based on the latest, Hernandez will be transferred to Pasay City Jail, upon an agreement with Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Based on the update, Senator Jinggoy Estrada motioned to move Hernandez to the Pasay City Jail during the  Senate’s Wednesday plenary session. Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri seconded the motion and concurred with the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman, Senator Ping Lacson.

Newly-installed and returning Senate President Tito Sotto approved the motion after receiving no objection from the senators. After this, Sotto ordered the Senate Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA) to transfer Hernandez to the Pasay facility “as soon as possible.”

To recall, Hernandez was cited in contempt by the Senate blue ribbon committee on Monday. This was after he repeatedly denied using a fake driver’s license under the name of “Marvin Santos de Guzman” that he uses whenever he goes to a casino to gamble.

On Tuesday, Hernandez claimed at the House of Representatives that Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva are involved in the kickback issues related to the anomalous flood control projects. Both senators have vehemently denied any involvement.

Hernandez also expressed fear of returning to Senate detention because he’s no longer sure of his safety. This was a remark he made before he implicated Estrada and Villanueva in the flood control projects that involved billions in amount.
