Local governments explained that nonstop rains since Sunday night made it unsafe for students to travel to schools. Authorities also reminded residents to remain alert as continuous rainfall could trigger flooding and possible landslides in some areas.
Officials assured the public that they will keep monitoring the weather situation and issue further updates if necessary.

As of this writing, students are encouraged to stay indoors, keep safe, and use the day to rest or catch up on schoolwork while waiting for better weather conditions.
