Statement of Malacañang on Recent Tirades from Sara-Imee
Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro reacted to the recent tirades of Vice President Sara Duterte and Senator Imee Marcos against the administration.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has yet to return to the Philippines. She is currently in The Hague, Netherlands and is set to visit Japan this month prior to the confirmation of charges of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
All four (4) Duterte siblings were allowed to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte inside the detention facility of the ICC (International Criminal Court) in The Hague for the first time. After their visit, the Vice President answered to some questions of their Filipino supporters outside the ICC detention center.
According to the Vice President, her father is very happy and it was really his request if they could visit him altogether. The confirmation of charges of the former President is set on September 23.
The Vice President was also asked about the issue of anomalous flood control projects in the Philippines. However, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte refused to give a free advice on the flood control projects issue in the country now. According to her, she will just watch the “circus” and the “zarzuela” now.
Malacañang reacted to the refusal of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte from giving a free advice amid the flood control projects issue in the country. According to Palace press officer Claire Castro, she should just give her free flood solutions to acting Davao Mayor Baste Duterte.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also claimed that the flood control probe could be finished in a day if Pres. Bongbong Marcos is really serious about it. According to her, the Marcos Jr. administration is allegedly probably “cooking something behind the scenes” while the public attention is on the issue.
Recently, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos who sided with the Dutertes amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government also threw a tirade against the Marcos Jr. administration. According to Sen. Imee Marcos, she will block the Ombudsman appointment of Justice Secretary Boying Remulla as the admin might allegedly use his position for a supposed another persecution against the Dutertes.
Based on a post of News 5, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro responded to the recent tirades of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos against the Marcos Jr. admin. She stressed that there is nothing to worry about.
“There’s nothing to worry about in their statements. They are just creations of fertile and wild imagination,” the Malacañang press official said.
Previously, amid the order of the President, Malacañang also confirmed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is ready for a “lifestyle check” and the disclosure of his SALN (Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth) if necessary.
