In an interview, Kaye Abad talks about how frugal she is.
Famous actress Kaye Abad shares how thrifty and frugal she is as a person, and people online have applauded her for this.
These days, earning money is difficult. With the rising costs of everything—from basic necessities to the things we simply want—every centavo truly matters. This is a principle that actress Kaye Abad continues to live by, despite her family’s wealth.
In the latest episode of Kuan On One with Melai Cantiveros, the actress shared how frugal she is, always making sure that she always saves and making the most out of what she has.
She can easily afford anything she wants, but despite this, whenever there’s an opportunity to grab a freebie, she never hesitates to take it. Even with her sons, she buys items they can absolutely use for a long time, for example, their shoes, which she made sure are settled until next year.
Even at parties, she is also not shy to take home some food from the event. She shared, “Minsan si Paul Jake (Castillo) na ang nahihiya para sa akin. Kapag may party, nakikita niya ako na nagte-take out. Mahal na ang karne ngayon. Sayang. Kung wala nang kakain niyan itatapon ‘yan nila. Sayang di ba?”
One of her practical strategies is that whenever there’s lechon, she makes sure to take home a portion of the head to cook for “paksiw.”
Apart from her frugality, people also applauded how fluent she is in speaking the Cebuano dialect. She fully embraced the culture and ways of life of her husband, Paul Jake Castillo, a businessman based in Cebu.
She loves her laid-back life in Cebu, where everything is simple and any place seems within reach. She can bring her children to school and even do groceries alone.
“I love it here in Cebu, very laid-back, simple life, everything is near. I would drive my kids to school. Mago-grocery ako mag-isa. Yung buhay na pinangarap ko natupad lahat dito,” she said.
