Why Andi Eigenmann Doesn’t Mind Her Children Getting Dirty
ANDI EIGENMANN – Former actress Andi Eigenmann is standing her ground after receiving comments from netizens calling her kids “madungis.”
Andi Eigenmann has once again defended her parenting style after receiving unsolicited remarks about her children’s appearance online.
The actress addressed the issue after sharing a reel of her kids, Lilo and Koa, happily picking wildflowers in Siargao. While the video highlighted the siblings’ joy in exploring nature, some netizens left comments saying they looked untidy.

On Instagram Stories, Andi responded directly to these criticisms. “The amount of people who comment about my kids looking madungis,” she wrote, pointing out how certain people still equate a child’s well-being with being spotless and neatly dressed.
The celebrity mom then contrasted these remarks with a lifestyle she does not want for her children. According to her, parents who make such comments “are most likely the same type of people who have children stuck on their iPads all day, eating fast/ junk food for all three mealtimes (and probably more), and then throw huge fits whenever things don’t go their way.”
For Andi, raising her children close to nature is more important than appearances. She stressed, “No parent is perfect, but I’d rather mine be messy from living fully, than clean from sitting still and being disconnected from it.”
This is not the first time Andi has clapped back at unsolicited opinions regarding her family. Since moving to Siargao with her fiancé, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, she has consistently emphasized her desire to raise her children surrounded by the outdoors. She often shares snippets of their simple island life, showing how her kids learn through experiences rather than being confined to gadgets.

Through her latest response, Andi reinforced her belief that childhood should be about discovery, exploration, and embracing life’s messiness. For her, allowing her children to get dirty while enjoying the outdoors is a small price to pay for teaching them to value real-life connections over digital distractions.
In doing so, the actress reminded her followers that while no parent is perfect, what matters most is creating meaningful experiences that shape children into well-rounded individuals.
