Pres. Bongbong Marcos Gives Message for National Heroes Day 2025
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President said we must fight against corruption and abuse of power in his message for the National Heroes Day 2025.
In the list of the Philippine holidays 2025, today, August 25, is one of the regular holidays for the celebration of the National Heroes Day. The President led the ceremony for the event held at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

While Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on Filipinos to govern with leadership and conscience during the recent Ninoy Aquino Day celebration, on National Heroes Day today, the Chief Executive called for a fight against corruption and abuse of power.
Based on a report on GMA News, the President stressed in his message for the National Heroes Day celebration at the Libingan ng mga Bayani that the corrupt individuals are not only stealing public funds but as well as health, dreams, and the future of the next generations.

“Kailangan din nating labanan ang banta ng katiwalian at pang-aabuso ng kapangyarihan sa ating lipunan. Dahil hindi lamang salapi ang kanilang ninanakaw, kundi pati ang kalusugan, pangarap, at kinabukasan ng mga susunod na henerasyon na Pilipino,” Marcos Jr. said.

According to Pres. Bongbong Marcos, as Filipinos, we all have the responsibility to the Philippines to be more critical of illegal activities, to expose fraud, and to stand for what is right even when it is not simple.
Based on the report, in his message to the Filipinos for the National Heroes Day, the President honored the “Visayan Joan of Arc” Teresa Magbanua citing that she fought against the oppression by the Spanish colonizers. He also honored the unsung heroes who fought for the country’s independence.

“Ngayong Araw ng mga Bayani, binibigyang-pugay natin ang mga Pilipinong hindi naisulat ang pangalan sa mga pahina ng kasaysayan ngunit naging mitsa at apoy na bumuhay sa ating kasarinlan,” the President said.
Recently, the Chief Executive has discovered several allegedly anomalous projects in the government and he vowed to make those who are behind it accountable. In Bulacan, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was left “angry” by a “ghost” Riverwall project amounting to over P55-million.
