Here’s the unreleased video of Liza Soberano in 2023, where she confirmed the split.
Former ABS-CBN actress Liza Soberano has this unreleased interview with Boy Abunda, where she revealed the split with Enrique Gil.
Liza Soberano has officially ended long-running speculation about her relationship with Enrique Gil previously through a podcast-documentary, which now has over a million views. She had been itching to confirm that it had been almost three years since they had decided to separate.

She expressed, “Quen and I broke up. But yeah, we’ve been broken up for almost three years now. And the reason, well, originally the reason why we haven’t said anything about it is because Enrique or Quen asked me not to say anything about it first.”
She once believed that they would get married at one point, but they eventually realized “we weren’t a match anymore.” For her, it was a beautiful breakup. It was hard because she still loved him, but she needed to grow.
After the podcast-documentary was released, Boy Abunda, in his Kapuso program, released the unreleased interview with Soberano, where she revealed the reason behind the split.
On Monday, “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” aired a previously unreleased 12-minute video of the interview done in 2023. According to her, their values and the way they see life don’t align anymore.
She went through changes in life, and these changes in 2022 made it difficult for them to support each other. She said, “So we decided that it was just easier to separate ways and kinda find ourselves first, kinda explore before we take it to the next level.”
She also recalled that being asked often about marriage made her ask herself if she wanted it anymore because there’s just so much that she still wanted to do. The actress added, “He’s in his 30s, of course he is thinking about settling down, starting a family and so it just doesn’t line up anymore.”
That portion of the interview was not aired at the time, as Liza had requested it be withheld.
