This generation’s “New Gen Phenomenal Actress” is Belle Mariano. After 14 years of being in the industry, the actress remained a Kapamilya star, as recently, she finally signed her first-ever network contract with ABS-CBN, her home network.
During the contract signing, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chairman Mark Lopez, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and Mariano’s manager Edith Fariñas were present.
Proving herself as one of the brightest stars of her generation, she showcased excellence not only in acting but also in music, concerts, and endorsements.
In a speech she made during her contract signing, she became emotional, recalling what she went through in the last 14 years of her career. It wasn’t an easy journey, composed of falls and fails, but being surrounded now with some of the top executives of the network, she has nothing but gratitude.
She thanked the ABS-CBN bosses, her mother, and supporters, all of whom are instrumental to her success now. During the media conference after the contract signing, Mariano revealed that aside from a new film, she is preparing to release a new album and is gearing up for a birthday concert.
She is looking forward to doing more new roles as an actress. She expressed, “I’ve never done anything na ‘yun nga something bida-kontrabida, which I mentioned, horror. That’s something I want to do. I won’t limit myself into something, I really want to learn and grow and want to challenge myself.”
The actress also hoped to do more projects behind the camera in the future.
