ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda has this to say instead after receiving intense backlash online due to her viral concert jokes.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda joined forces to bring laughter and entertainment to the people of Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City during their concert.
However, the superstar comedian came under fire for her jokes that involved former President Rodrigo Duterte. Vice’s jet ski holiday joke went viral, and following the critical comments, she seems to have just shrugged it off under the rug.
While many are expecting her to react, during her comeback to It’s Showtime, she expressed her gratitude to her supporters instead. She said, “Sa lahat ng mga tao, sa lahat na mga madlang pipol na nagmamahal sa akin, araw-araw ko pong ipinagdiriwang ang pagmamahal nyo sa akin, maraming salamat.”
She is thankful that they were able to pull off the two-night concert successfully.
She is also celebrating her nomination as Best Actor in FAMAS 2025. The other actors vying for this category are Dennis Trillo, Arjo Atayde, Alden Richards, Aga Muhlach, and Kelvin Miranda. She also congratulated Jhong Hilario and Eugene Domingo for their nomination for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, Vice redefined success, and according to her, success is no longer measured by material things. As simple as sleeping longer and happier is already a success for her.
After having been able to achieve material wealth and financial security, her definition shifted. What she wants now is to spend more time resting and be with her family.
“Ang mahalaga lang naman talaga ay ‘yung may matulugan ka nang mapayapa. At tsaka ‘yung ma-maintain mo ‘yung good relationships. Kailangan ma-maintain mo ‘yun,” the comedian-host said.
