Heart Evangelista Proud of Her Savings Journey, Calls Paris Home an Investment
HEART EVANGELISTA – Known for her glamorous lifestyle, Heart Evangelista surprised many by sharing how strategic she has become when it comes to money.
Kapuso actress and style icon Heart Evangelista recently shared how her outlook on finances has shifted, emphasizing that she has become more deliberate with both her savings and investments.
In the second episode of GCash’s Spotlight series, filmed on August 12 in Taguig, Heart joined host Boy Abunda for a conversation about money matters. The actress admitted that her approach to finances has undergone significant evolution over the years.
Heart Evangelista said, “It has a lot to do with having so much proving to do for yourself and others [before]. Now that’s out, everything I buy is planned.” She added that this new mindset has made her proud of the person she has become in managing her money.
According to Heart, her spending habits are now carefully thought out, particularly when it comes to clothing. Each dress she purchases is meant for a specific event, and she now evaluates her talent fees more carefully. She also considers whether an item is truly valuable or just a “tapon-pera” decision.
“Because it’s what I do for a living, it’s definitely an investment in terms of how I like work to position myself or branding or something that I would like to put more value to what I’m going to endure,” she explained.
The discussion also touched on her Paris property, which she bought in 2022. When asked if she viewed it as an investment, Heart confirmed that she did, especially since she travels to the city often. “Instead of going to a hotel and paying X amount, I already have a place,” she shared, adding that the apartment also makes traveling easier since she can leave belongings there.
Although she acknowledges that some still believe in the idea that “cash is king,” Heart stressed that her focus is now on saving and only spending on meaningful purchases. She wrapped up the discussion by saying, “For me, I’m really into like majorly saving my whole amount of money.”
