Marjorie Barretto Finishes College At 51: “A full circle moment”

In an Instagram post, Marjorie Barretto gushes about graduating from college.

Former actress Marjorie Barretto achieved her longtime dream to graduate from college, and here’s what she said about this achievement.

Finishing college at 51 is an incredible achievement. It just shows that no one is too old or too young to make a dream come true. It proves that education has no age limit and that it’s never too late to pursue your goals.

At 51, Marjorie Barretto finished her college degree the same year her only son, Leon Barretto, also graduated. She  took to social media to reflect on her journey leading to her graduation

She never expected to wear the cap and the gown at her age. It was a dream she tucked away to prioritize other things, such as her career in the show business industry, raising children, public service, business, and building a life.

But in God’s perfect time, she found the courage to return and the strength to persevere. At last, her hard work has paid off, and she is now reaping the rewards of her efforts. The best part of it all is that her children were there to witness her achieve the dream. They were there to clap for her, cheer for her, and hand her flowers and gifts.

She wrote, “The sweetest part? My children were there to witness it — taking my photos and videos, handing me flowers and gifts. A moment so surreal, a full circle moment.”

Marjorie attended the Philippine Women’s University, and she thanked her friend, Ruffa Gutierrez, for standing in as their role model and for proving that no dream is too late to be achieved. As per her words, “she graduated first, lovingly encouraged me to go back to college, and always reminded me that I could do it.”

She ended her post, “And to those my age who still carry dreams in their hearts: it’s never too late, and you are never too old, to realize the dreams God placed in you.”
