Flood

Recently, Marcos Jr. launched the Sumbong sa Pangulo website through which the public can help in auditing and checking the flood control projects in the different areas across the nation. According to the President, the government needs the citizens to play their civic duty to report what they see is wrong.

The President also stressed that 80-90 million pairs of eyes are better than all eyes in the entire government. Marcos Jr. vowed to personally read the reports that will be submitted to the Sumbong sa Pangulo website.

“Ang isususlat ninyo sa report, ako mismo ang babasa. ‘Yan ang asahan ninyo: babasahin ko bawat isa,” the President said.

Malacañang

Based on a report on GMA News, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro recently revealed that the Sumbong sa Pangulo has already received more than 1,000 reports since it was launched. She specifically cited “1,148 reports and 823 feedbacks”.

Amid the issues about the flood control deals of the government, Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero linked the flood control project contractor issue against him to the impeachment case against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
