2 Students Suffer Injuries After Being Struck by Falling Debris from QC Building
Two students were injured after being struck by falling debris from a building in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the Facebook page MOCHA USON BLOG shared a photo of two students who suffered injuries after being struck by falling debris. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to witness and former Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson, she and others nearby heard a loud crash that they first thought was a falling electric post. But when they stepped outside, they discovered that a signboard had fallen from one of the upper floors of a building, hitting two students who were walking home from school.

In the photos, two students can be seen lying on the sidewalk, with pieces of the fallen signboard scattered nearby. The part of the building where the debris came from was also visible in the images.
The post did not clearly state the current condition of the students, but Uson expressed her condolences to their families, implying the incident may have been severe. Residents in the area mentioned that this was not the first time debris had fallen from the same building.
They also confirmed that there was no ongoing construction work at the site when the incident happened.

No official report from authorities has been released yet, but the incident has raised concerns over building safety in the area. Many are now calling for inspections to ensure that similar accidents can be prevented in the future.
