Actress-director-screenwriter Bela Padilla is open to falling in love again after her almost five-year relationship with Norman Bay ended.
In 2020, actress Bela Padilla shared how she met her foreign boyfriend, Norman Ben Bay. According to her, she met him while filming for Meet Me in St. Gallen in 2017. He invited her to spend the holidays at his place, an offer she gladly accepted. Their paths first crossed in Zurich, Switzerland, and what began as casual conversations eventually blossomed into a meaningful friendship, which later grew into a romantic relationship.
For most of their relationship, they were in a long-distance setup. After years of being apart, the distance eventually took its toll, and she recently revealed that they have gone their separate ways.
After promoting her latest film, “100 Awit Para Kay Stella,” she confirmed her split from her Swiss-Italian boyfriend. The long-distance setup and her decision to finally stay in the Philippines to work full-time were among the factors that greatly contributed to their split.
“Definitely one of the biggest factors was my moving back. Hindi rin kasi kami magkasama [noon.] Nasa London ako, nasa Switzerland siya. Nahirapan ako. LDR na shorter but still LDR,” she shared.
The split was mutual, and they remained on good terms after parting ways — in fact, he even paid her a visit just last month. She added, “Dumalaw pa sa shooting he was here and napasyal niya pa buong Pampanga. Hindi na kami noon.”
Meanwhile, Padilla reprised her iconic role as Stella in 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2017 blockbuster 100 Tula Para Kay Stella. Directed once again by Jason Paul Laxamana, the film continues Stella’s story, offering fans a deeper look into her journey and evolution as a character.
