PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Rains Over Parts of the Country
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (August 5, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather conditions.
Pagasa weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the weather conditions in Metro Manila and parts of the country.

The low-pressure area was spotted 895 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon. It has a slim chance of becoming a tropical cyclone.
The LPA’s trough may bring rain showers over the Bicol region and Eastern Visayas. Fair weather is expected over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
It will also bring generally fair-weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, especially in the afternoon and evening.
The weather agency has advised the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
