Gym Goer in BGC Yelled At and Spat On During Intense Street Altercation
A gym goer was shouted at and even spat on during a heated street altercation in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
On Thursday (July 31, 2025), Junel Noe, a Facebook user, shared a video of a gym goer being harassed along 9th Avenue corner 37th Street. The post quickly circulated online and elicited comments from netizens.
In the video, the gym goer can be seen simply walking when another man confronted him, claiming he had been bumped into. Things get worse as the man began yelling and harassing the gym goer right on the street.
Despite the presence of a traffic enforcer who tried to calm the situation, the angry man continued to verbally abuse the victim. He called him names, including a homophobic slur, and even spat directly on his face.
The attacker then dared the gym goer to go with him to the police station.
According to the gym goer’s side, the most that could be filed against the attacker was a complaint for unjust vexation, a minor offense. Authorities from the Southern Police District later confirmed that the man seen in the video reportedly has a mental health condition.
Some netizens are pointing out that the same man had been seen in a previous viral video. In that clip, he was inside a mall, also causing a scene while security guards tried to contain him.
The incident sparks discussion about public safety, mental health awareness, and the need for better protection in public spaces. Many also expressed concerns for the victim and hoped for proper action to be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
