Actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto has this to say amid the death rumors involving her ex-husband, Trevor Magallanes.
A post from Reddit has sparked rumors about the death of Trevor Magallanes, the estranged husband of actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto. Following the buzz, the actress issued a statement and expressed how saddened she was to hear the post about him.
“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope you give us time to mourn his lost especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get thru this by the help of God!” Quinto wrote on her Instagram account Thursday afternoon.
The reason for his death remained undisclosed, and the actress is accordingly exhausting all ways to verify this. He asked the public to for respect during this difficult time amid the speculations that were ignited about the cause of his death.
“We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. So we kindly ask his friends or anyone to stop spreading fake news or mere speculations about his death,” she added in her statement.
Rufa said that she and their daughter would be flying to the US. She urged the public to wait for the official announcement from his family before making assumptions. The confirmation, as per her words, must not come from any sources.
“Hanggang sa huli…. Hanggang sa muli. Mahal kita Trev,” she ended her post.
To recall, Quinto and Magallanes tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their daughter in the year that followed. In December 2024, confirmed that he and Quinto were separated and in the process of divorcing.
Rufa spoke about the separation, and based on her statement, they both wanted to get out of the marriage. They tried to save their marriage, but they wanted different things in life. She returned to the Philippines with their daughter, Athena, when they separated.
