TV host Cristy Fermin would bail out after a warrant of arrest had been issued.
Cristy Fermin was charged with cyberlibel in the Bea Alonzo case, and has this statement after a QC court ordered her arrest.
Over a year since actress Bea Alonzo filed a cyber libel complaint against Cristy Fermin, a verdict has finally been issued. In a previous article, a Quezon City court ordered the arrest of Fermin and her two other co-hosts in her program.

Alonzo formally lodged three distinct criminal complaints for cyber libel before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office. The complaints were filed against entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin, fellow showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, as well as the co-hosts of their respective online programs, who were allegedly involved in the publication and dissemination of defamatory claims about her.
It was Alonzo’s first time taking legal action in her more than two decades in the entertainment industry. At that time, she had just broken off her engagement with Dominic Roque, saying she was a victim of the “false, malicious, and damaging information.”
The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 93 set the bail for the cyberlibel complaint versus Fermin and her vlog co-hosts Rommel Villamor and Wendell Alvarez at PHP 48,000 each.
In an update following the issuance of the arrest warrant, Fermin released a statement saying that they intend to post bail and are prepared to fight the case. She quipped based on a report from PEP, “Ilalaban natin ito.”
In a text message sent to GMA News Online, her reply was: “Inaasikaso na namin. Naku, ganun talaga! Kakambal ng trabaho natin ang ganitong kaso. Ilalaban natin ito.”
To recall, Fermin previously addressed the cyber libel issue, saying this comes with their profession. These two could never be separated.
