Pet Clinic Expresses Grief After Snake Eats Puppies They Supposed to Rescue
A pet clinic was left heartbroken after a python reportedly devoured several puppies that they were supposed to rescue.
Recently, Pet Avenue, a Facebook page, shared a video showing one of the puppies that fell victim to the snake, while the others were already eaten. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
According to the post, the clinic had already planned to retrieve the mother dog and her litter. However, before they could do so, they received a message that something terrible had occurred.
The puppies were being eaten by a snake, and only one survived. The team realized the snake had been preying on the puppies one by one, which explained why some had mysteriously gone missing earlier.
When the rescuers arrived, the mother dog was crying beside her only remaining pup, who was still wet with the snake’s saliva. It was a tragic scene, especially knowing the mama dog had tried to save at least one of her babies from the predator.
The clinic expressed their sorrow and frustration, saying that sometimes, help comes too late especially when it involves stray or native dogs, known locally as “aspins.” They hoped this incident would open people’s eyes to the urgent need for rescue and care, even for stray animals.
They are now racing against time to secure the mother dog and her surviving puppy, fearing the snake might return. The team urges support and awareness so that no more innocent lives are lost while waiting for help.

As we were planning the retrieval of mama dog and her puppies, we received a distress message. Kinain po ng sawa ang mga puppies. Kaya pala dahan-dahan sila nawawala. Isa nalang po ang naiwan may laway pa po ito ng ahas. Iyak ng iyak po si mama dog. Kita niya ang pangyayari. Isang tuta lang ang naagaw niya mula sa gutom na sawa.
