Lady Customer Disrespected by Fast-Food Staff Over Foreigner Husband
A lady customer claimed that a fast-food staff allegedly insulted her for having a foreigner husband.
Recently, Dindi Aragon Duggan, a Facebook user, shared her upsetting experience on social media after allegedly being insulted by staff at a fast-food restaurant because of her foreign husband. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
The incident happened at a McDonald’s branch in Toril. Diggan had just finished getting her hair done at a mall and dropped by the fast-food chain with her husband, mother, and brother to grab something to eat. But as soon as they entered, she said she overheard a staff member making a sarcastic remark about her being with a foreigner.
Instead of being greeted warmly, she felt judged and disrespected. Duggan added that another comment followed, hinting that she only looked good because of money, implying she had it because of her husband.
Dindi quietly left the restaurant without saying anything to the staff. Outside, she shared what happened with her family, and though they were ready to confront the employees, she chose to walk away.
The lady customer later decided to speak up about the incident, not for revenge, but to raise awareness about how unfairly some women are treated.
The woman emphasized that she worked hard for everything she has and met her husband while working abroad. She reminded everyone that judging others based on appearances or relationships reflects more on the person doing the judging than on the one being judged.
“I am a woman of ambition. I graduated from nursing and have multiple nursing licenses.
I met my husband while working abroad. I raised myself to be independent and self-sufficient, which is why he fell in love with me,” she wrote.
They eventually ate at a different restaurant where she said the staff were much more respectful.
