Rica Peralejo shared a lengthy post after she was called out for mentioning Heart Evangelista
Celebrity vlogger Rica Peralejo had a public apology after the negative reactions that she received for mentioning Heart Evangelista in her post.
To recall, Rica cited Heart as an example in her post about the two realities that women face in their lives. This was because she shared her thoughts on “ordinary women” being compared to celebrity moms who still look good even after giving birth.
In her post, Rica said that it is just like Heart whose work is focused on getting glammed up as a fashion influencer and that the Kapuso actress is “hindi siya nahihirapan.”
Rica Peralejo was bashed because, for Heart Evangelista’s fans, she was invalidating the latter’s struggles that many people might not know. After the criticism, Rica clarified what she meant and it was not a hate post about Heart.
During an Instagram Live, Heart also stressed that she was not offended by what Rica said and even defended the former actress.
Apparently, Rica still continued to receive negative comments because of this issue. In a lengthy Instagram post, the celebrity vlogger once again explained her point and answered the comments she received.
Rica admitted that it was wrong for her to mention a name that diverted from the point she wanted to raise. “Some are asking for apology and here I give it,” she said.
She also apologized for how she answered some netizens. “Sorry also if I had been snippy to some of you online,” the former actress said.
Rica Peralejo also stressed that before this thing blew up, she already messaged Heart Evangelista. The former actress also appreciated that the fashion icon took the time to address this issue in her video.
“Having said all these, I hope you can lay the issue to rest not because of me, but because of her. I am sorry this even goes into her feed. Not worth her time at all,” Rica said.
