LTO Suspends Vlogger Cherry White’s License Due to Reckless Driving
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended the driver’s license of the popular vlogger Cherry White due to reckless driving.
On Saturday (July 12, 2025), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that LTO suspended the driver’s license of vlogger Cherrylyn Larga Gonzaga, also known online as Cherry White, for 90 days due to reckless driving.
According to Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, reckless and irresponsible behavior on the road can endanger lives not just the driver’s, but also pedestrians and other motorists. That’s why they are firm in taking action against those who show disregard for traffic rules.
“Paulit-ulit na utos ng Pangulo na dapat ay ligtas ang kalsada para sa lahat. Hindi natin tino-tolerate ang iresponsable at reckless na pagmamaneho,” Dizon said.
In the video, Cherry White was seen behind the wheel in a relaxed position, with one leg up on the driver’s seat. Authorities said this posture clearly showed a lack of focus and control, which is a serious safety concern.
“Based on the information gathered, Ms. Cherry White was seen seated in a casual or lounging posture with one leg raised onto the driver’s seat. She appeared disengaged from proper vehicle operation, thereby endangering the safety of other road users,” LTO explained.
The LTO issued a show cause order asking Cherry to explain why she should not face administrative charges and possibly lose her license. She was instructed to appear before the LTO on July 16 at 11 a.m. to answer the allegations.
The agency also placed her vehicle under alarm status. This means no transactions can be done with the car while the case is ongoing.
Transport officials remind the public that roads must be safe for everyone. They also encourage citizens to report drivers who break the rules, as public involvement plays an important role in keeping roads secure.
