Housemaid Shocks Employer After Giving Birth in Bathroom Without Anyone Knowing She’s Pregnant
A Chinese family living in the Philippines was shocked when their Filipina housemaid suddenly gave birth in their bathroom without anyone knowing she was pregnant.
Recently, Late_Mulberry8127, a Reddit user, shared it was revealed that the employer had no idea the housemaid was pregnant. The post spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from netizens.
According to them, her stomach didn’t look swollen, and she showed no clear signs of pregnancy.

CCTV footage from the home, later uploaded by the employer on Xiaohongshu, captured the unexpected birth that took place on April 16, 2025. Just minutes before, the housemaid was seen happily interacting with the employer’s twin children, showing no sign of discomfort or pain.
At around 8:37 AM, she entered the bathroom. Barely two minutes later, she opened the door and called for help. Family members rushed to her aid and were stunned to see her already holding a crying newborn baby.
According to the employer, the housemaid had only been working for them for about four months. Throughout her stay, they said she never showed any symptoms or changes that hinted she was pregnant.
On the way to the hospital, the employer asked if she knew she was pregnant, to which the housemaid reportedly said she did not. However, while searching for baby clothes at home, the employer found a belly binder hidden among the maid’s belongings, making them believe she may have tried to hide her condition.
The housemaid’s unexpected birth left her employer’s family stunned. Despite the shock, the baby was safely delivered, and both mother and child were given medical attention.
