Grieving Mother Slams Bacolod Public Hospital Over Son’s Death
A grieving mother is blaming a public hospital in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental for her son’s death.
Recently, Sofieheart Mendoza Apsay, a Facebook user, shared her emotional post accusing the staff at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital of failing to give her child the care he needed. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.
According to Apsay, they initially went to another hospital for a check-up, but were referred to Corazon Locsin because the previous facility claimed they didn’t have the necessary blood supply.

Upon arriving at the public hospital late at night, she said her child was already weak and hungry. She stepped out briefly to get food, and by the time she returned, she was frustrated that there was still no immediate action taken.
When her child was finally transferred to the pediatric ward, it took some time before doctors came. She claimed three doctors, including one who she said treated her rudely, attended to her son.
The boy was then given a sleeping injection despite still being responsive, asking for milk and water. Moments after the injection, her child stopped responding and showed signs of distress. He eventually lost consciousness and died.

The mother also claimed that the hospital had blood available but delayed the transfusion, making things worse. She expressed deep anger at how the hospital handled the situation, saying her son could have been saved.
The post shows the pain of a mother who felt helpless and ignored. As of this writing, the hospital has yet to issue a public statement regarding the allegations.
