Man Earns Criticism for Admitting to Abusing Their Pet Dog During Radio Program

A man elicited online criticisms after confessing to a disturbing act involving their female pet dog “Tinira ko aso namin”.

Recently, the Facebook page Energy FM 106.7 shared a male caller’s confession during a radio program on June 27, 2025. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community.

During the call with DJ Kara, the man, who used the alias “Bugoy,” openly admitted to engaging in inappropriate behavior with their dog. He even described being addicted to such acts, claiming it brought him more satisfaction than being with his wife.

According to him, the issue started as a joke among his friends while they were drinking. Unfortunately, it led to a habit he continued even after the first time.

Bugoy also shared that his wife caught him in the act, which led to serious problems in their relationship. Despite this, he continued his actions, saying he preferred the “tightness” of animals over humans.

DJ Kara responded with a firm warning, explaining that such acts are not only morally wrong but also illegal. She mentioned that this behavior is referred to as “zoophilia, “a condition where someone is sexually attracted to animals. This is considered a serious form of animal abuse.

In the Philippines, such acts are punishable under the Animal Welfare Act, or Republic Act 8485, which clearly states that harming or exploiting animals is against the law.

Many netizens encouraged Bugoy to seek help from a mental health professional. They believe it’s important he gets support before his behavior causes further harm or leads to criminal charges.

As of this writing, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has yet to release an official statement regarding the issue.
