Incognito Star Daniel Padilla Speaks on Learning, Fight Scenes in Action Series
DANIEL PADILLA – The Kapamilya star revealed what he learned from doing the hit action series Incognito that is set to air its finale soon.
Countless Filipinos were hooked by the ABS-CBN action-drama television series Incognito which gathered many of the biggest stars in the industry. It was set to air 128 episodes and the “contracts” are now down to their last mission.
The Incognito gathered brilliant Kapamilya stars Ian Veneracion, Richard Gutierrez, Daniel Padilla, Kaila Estrada, Baron Geisler, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings in one action-packed series. Kaila Estrada even previously shared how she really prepared for her action scenes in Incognito.
In the said series, Daniel plays the character of Andres Malvar, a former scout ranger who turned as one of the agents of Colonel Gregorio “Greg” Paterno or also known as Contractor. After he was removed from his profession for accidentally killing someone who threatened to take their lot, he focused on finding his brother, Jun.
Andres made his every step a closer move to finding his younger brother — he did it alongside their missions. While the action series has yet to air its final episode, the public believes that Jun was indeed the young man raised by antagonist Manuel Aguinaldo played by Joem Bascon.
Recently, at the Incognito: Final Mission finale presscon, Daniel Padilla shared about his learning from doing his character, Andres Malvar, in the action-packed series. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Kapamilya star claimed that he learned how to love deep like how Andres’ loved Jun.
Daniel did not only cite how Andres did everything to look for Jun but as well as how he accepted the identity of the brother he found. He stressed that his character did not walk away but hoped that his younger brother may change.
“Hindi niya tinalikuran yung kapatid niya. Para sa akin kasi, ganun ang pagmamahal. Ano man yung naging karakter niya o pagkatao niya nung nakita ko siya eh hindi ako nawawalan ng pag-asa na puwede pa magbago,” the actor said.
Daniel Padilla also stressed that he really loves working with the casts, director, production, and staff of Incognito. According to him, their tapings and scenes were not easy but they enjoyed it a lot. He stressed that he really loves his fellow stars in the show and he would do anything that he can when they are together.
Based on the report, Daniel Padilla also spoke about his most memorable action scene in Incognito. The Kapamilya star cited his very first action scene in a train as well as his last fight scene which has yet to be aired.
“Si direk talagang pinarusahan agad ako dun (laughs). First fight scene ko tapos ilan yung kalaban ko, sampu na (laughs). Siyempre, ang hirap nung choreo. Nakakapagod din. And yung huli kong fight scene, iba rin yun. So yun ang kailangan nilang abangan,” he said.
Baron Geisler is also proud that Incognito is the first show that he finished without messing up. In the action series, he played the character of Dr. Miguel “Migs” Tecson or Jaguar.
