Whistleblower Accuses Atong Ang of Allegedly Paying Some Policemen To Do the Job
ATONG ANG – The Filipino-Chinese businessman allegedly paid P2 million monthly to a colonel over the killings of the sabungeros.
Whistleblower alias “Totoy” claimed that around a hundred bodies of cockfight enthusiasts were allegedly thrown at Taal Lake. According to him, those sabungeros faced a devastating hurting before they were thrown.

The recent claim of alias “Totoy” turned the national attention to the case of the 34 missing sabungeros once again. Their families remain to call for justice following their sudden disappearance.
The whistleblower claimed that businessman Atong Ang and former actress Gretchen Barretto were allegedly involved in the missing sabungeros case. The businessman was quick to deny the allegations against him.

According to Ang who is known as an advocate of the cockfighting industry in the country and the owner of the e-sabong, his accuser allegedly wanted to extort money from him. His camp claims that alias “Totoy” allegedly lacks the credibility to pin him down.

Recently, another whistleblower had an interview with Emil Sumangil of GMA-7’s 24 Oras. Julie “Dondon” Patidongan claimed the Atong Ang allegedly paid a colonel up to P2 million for the killings of the sabungeros. The payment is allegedly done on a monthly basis.
Patidongan is reportedly a former security chief in some of the cockfight arenas owned by Ang. According to him, he was the one relaying the orders of Ang for the uniformed personnel. The whistleblower turned over copies of petty cash vouchers for the policemen.
“Kapag sinabing intel, yun na yung P500,000, yun na yung bayad sa mga pinatay nila. Yung overall naman na kinukuha ng isang colonel, ang monthly niya ay P2 million,” alias “Dondon” said.
Based on the report, the whistleblower claimed that the highest amount allegedly paid by Ang to a police was more than P2.6 million for doing the job. According to him, he will keep his statements up to the trial of the case of the missing sabungeros.

Department of Justice or DOJ Secretary Boying Remulla previously claimed that 15 police officers are under “restricted duty” now for their involvement in the case of the missing sabungeros. He stressed that they will not stop in finding justice for the victims. He also met with the families of the missing cockfight enthusiasts.
Recently, former actress Gretchen Barretto denied her alleged involvement to the case. However, Patindongan who claimed that the former actress allegedly agreed to what was done to the sabungeros urged Gretchen Barretto to speak on the case.
