#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on Friday (July 4, 2025)

Class Suspensions Declared on Friday (July 4, 2025) Due to Heavy Rains

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units announced class suspensions over some parts of the country due to heavy rains.

On Friday (July 4, 2025), many areas across Luzon suspended classes because of non-stop rains caused by a low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon or “habagat.” With safety as a priority, local government units made early announcements to avoid risks linked to flooding and strong winds.

PAGASA reported that the LPA was located 125 kilometers north northwest of Calayan, Cagayan and may develop into a tropical depression. It has a big chance of developing into a storm and will be named “Bising” when it becomes a tropical depression.

The weather disturbance is expected to bring more rain over northern Luzon in the coming days.

To keep students and teachers safe, several provinces and cities declared class suspensions in both public and private schools. Some areas suspended all levels, while others limited the suspension to face-to-face classes or specific grade levels.
