Ice Seguerra shared this sad news
Singer Ice Seguerra mourns the death of his mother, Mommy Caring, and he shared about this in his Instagram post on June 27.
Ice started his career in the entertainment industry at a young age. He was first known as Aiza and rose to fame after joining Little Miss Philippines, the kiddie pageant of the longest-running noontime show.
Throughout his career, his mother was by his side, supporting him all the way. Now, Ice lost his number one supporter.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Ice Seguerra broke the sad news to the public. He announced that Mommy Caring passed away on the morning of June 27. “This morning, at 7:54 AM, our family said goodbye to the most amazing woman I’ve ever known: my mom, Mommy Caring,” Ice wrote in the caption of his post.
He also said that his mother lived a full and beautiful life. Ice described Mommy Caring as someone who “was strong, kind, funny in her own quiet way, and always, always there.”
His mother never left his side, then and now, in his “every show, every gig, every milestone.” Ice also recalled that Mommy Caring was always present. He recalled that his mother would always send him his favorite food and would massage him if he had a headache. “She made sure she was there kahit may sarili na kaming mga buhay. Walang palya,” the singer added.
More than being an artist, Ice received support from his mom as a child. For him, Mommy Caring was his fiercest protector, and she accepted and embraced him for who he is, especially who he is not.
The singer called his mother his first teacher, constant cheerleader, and his rock. “Losing her this morning feels like losing a part of myself. Pero promise ko sa iyo diba, mama, brave ako. Ikaw ang nagturo sa akin kung paano maging matatag sa harap ng mga sakit na binabato ng buhay. I won’t fail you. Promise ko yun,” Ice shared.
Ice also asked prayers and love for his family, and most especially for his mother. He thanked everyone who became a part of his mother’s life and those who showed love and considered Mommy Caring as a mother as well.
“We’ll miss you forever, Mama. Pero magkasama na kayo ni Daddy. And that gives me comfort. Mahal na mahal kita, mama ko,” Ice Seguerra said.
Mommy Caring is survived by Ice and his brother, Juan Carlos Miguel. The singer is yet to share the details of his mother’s wake later today.
