Fifth Solomon Reveals Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis & Inspires W/ Honest Message

FIFTH SOLOMON – Actor and director Fifth Solomon bravely broke his silence as he revealed being officially diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Fifth Solomon has courageously turned a deeply personal chapter of his life into an opportunity to shed light on mental health. In a recent Instagram post, he shared his journey toward being diagnosed with bipolar disorder—a condition that now explains the emotional turbulence he has long endured.

“Yesterday, my doctor officially diagnosed me with bipolar disorder,” he began, revealing that he had battled depression and anxiety since 2021. While he had long suspected the possibility of a deeper mental health issue, he admitted that “this past year hit different,” as his symptoms escalated.

Fifth detailed his experiences, describing how he felt “super moody, always overwhelmed, snapping under pressure, jumping from one thing to another, overthinking even while talking to someone, forgetting what I was about to say, shaking my legs non-stop, shopping impulsively, being too energetic then suddenly hopeless, and drowning in emotions I couldn’t even explain.” He also noted “phases of heightened urges–emotionally, physically, and sexually,” as well as fast-talking and fluctuating confidence—symptoms he now recognizes as part of the disorder.

Following what he described as an emotional “rollercoaster,” Fifth began treatment and started taking medication. “I feel like me again. I feel calm. I feel present. I feel in control,” he said.

“To the people I may have hurt or confused along the way, I’m truly sorry. It was never my intention. I was struggling, and now I’m doing the work to be better. For myself. For my friends. For my team. For my family,” he added.

Fifth emphasized that his story isn’t shared for sympathy, but for awareness. “Just because someone looks okay on the outside doesn’t mean they aren’t fighting battles we don’t see… we need to take mental health seriously–not just when it’s trending, but every day.”

He ended with a powerful message: “I’m still me. I still have big dreams. I’m still a leader. And now, I’m getting the help I deserve, because I deserve to feel better. We all do.”

Fifth, who first gained fame on Pinoy Big Brother: All In in 2014, and debuted as a director in 2018 with Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka, also shared that online hate recently triggered a mental breakdown and hospitalization—highlighting the urgent need for compassion and understanding.
