PAGASA Says Tropical Depression to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a tropical depression will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (June 25, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A tropical depression will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that a tropical depression is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

“It became a cyclone outside the PAR, so we did not give it a local name,” Badrina said.
The tropical cyclone was last spotted 555 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union, with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 50 kph.
“If this cyclone strengthens further, it is possible that it will pull the southwest monsoon away from our country. As a result, relatively warm weather may be experienced again in most parts of the country in the coming days. However, localized thunderstorms can still be expected in the afternoon until evening,” he explained.

The southwest monsoon will bring rains to the western section of Southern Luzon. Cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Hot weather conditions with a high chance of evening thunderstorms are expected over Visayas. However, isolated rain showers are expected in Mindanao during the afternoon to evening.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, according to PAGASA.
The coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate. No gale warning was raised over any parts of the country.
