Pres. Bongbong Marcos Speaks on Middle East Tension’s Impact to PH

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President spoke on the effects of the war between Iran and Israel to the Philippines.

The conflict between Iran and Israel cost lives of many individuals in the two (2) countries. It has became a global concern as two (2) countries persistently fight against each other. Many nations are doing the preparations they can for the possible impact of the war.

In the case of the Philippines, Palace press undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro previously relayed the message of Pres. Bongbong Marcos that the Philippines is ready for the possible impact of the Middle East tension.

Furthermore, according to the Malacañang official, the government will answer to all the needs of the Filipino people. According to her, there is nothing to worry about as the government is doing its job for the people.

“Unang-una, ang gusto iparating ng Pangulo, handa po tayo sa anumang mangyayari. At lahat po ng pangangailangan ng taongbayan ay tutugunan po ng pamahalaan. At huwag po sila mag-alala dahil nag-tatrabaho ang gobyerno para sa ating lahat,” Castro said.

Furthermore, Malacañang also previously said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is calling for peaceful talks and diplomacy amid the war between Iran and Israel. The Palace stressed that the Chief Executive feels the worries of the leaders of the different nations across the globe.

Recently, in Capas, Tarlac, Pres. Bongbong Marcos personally spoke about the effects of the war between Israel and Iran to the Philippines. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive admitted that there is an effect like in the cost of fuel.

Meanwhile, according to Marcos Jr., the economic managers of the country believes that the impact should be manageable. Based on the report, he also claimed that there is no significant impact on the economu and they are on watch over the price gouging.

“May effect siyempre kahit papaano… ang langis. But even before our meeting,  nag-announce ng ceasefire… So far there is no significant effect in the economy. Binabantayan natin ngayon yung price gouging,” Marcos said.

Department of Energy (DOE) officer-in-charge Sharon Garin said that the “ceasefire” between Israel and Iran brings minimal impact to the economy of the country. According to her, the impact as of now is not alarming.

In his recent podcast, Pres. Bongbong Marcos insisted that he has no role in the impeachment process of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as he is busy on things that will uplift the lives of the Filipinos and solve the problems of the country. According to Marcos Jr., he wants his administration to be remembered with “changes for the better”.
