Malacañang Speaks on Statement of Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid Middle East Tension

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President assured the Filipinos that the country is ready for the possible impacts of the Middle East war.

The armed conflict between the Iran and Israel has become a major concern of many other countries across the globe. Neighboring countries worry over their safety while many other nations are preparing for the possible impact of the tension in the Middle East.

In the case of the Philippines, there is a huge challenge to prepare for the possible impacts of the Middle East war while the country is also amid several problems right now. Amid the many issues in the country now, Pres. Bongbong Marcos wants his administration to be remembered to have “made a change for the better”.

Marcos Jr. also recently stressed in a podcast interview that he has no role in the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. He stressed that he is busy in many matters concerning national issues like providing affordable rice for the Filipino people. Recently, Malacañang relayed the message of the President to the Filipino people amid the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

Based a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang said Pres. Bongbong Marcos wants the Filipinos to know that the country is ready for anything that may happen. Palace press officer Atty. Claire Castro added that the government will answer all the needs of the Filipino people.

Castro said there is nothing to worry as the government is working for everyone. The increase in the cost of fuel is seen as only one of the possible effects of the ongoing Middle East war and the impact can be on a “domino effect”.

“Unang-una, ang gusto iparating ng Pangulo, handa po tayo sa anumang mangyayari. At lahat po ng pangangailangan ng taongbayan ay tutugunan po ng pamahalaan. At huwag po sila mag-alala dahil nag-tatrabaho ang gobyerno para sa ating lahat,” she said.

Based on the report, Atty. Claire Castro also said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the government feel the worries of the leaders of many countries across the globe amid the ongoing tension in the Middle East. According to the Malacañang official, Marcos Jr. is calling for peaceful talks and diplomacy to ease the intensifying tension.

“Kailangan din po manindigan para sa pandaigdigang kapayapaan para maging matatag po ang global community o pandaigdigang komunidad. Yan po ang mensahe ng Pangulo,” Castro added.

Amid the many problems in the Philippines right now and the ongoing rift between her and the President, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte recently claimed she has a problem with the performance of Pres. Bongbong Marcos as the leader of the country. She cleared speculations that she has ill feelings with him.

According to the Vice President, she has allegedly no hard feelings against her former running mate despite the supposed “political persecution”. However, she has problems with his alleged violation of the Constitution.
