Grandma Receives One-Year Supply of Ovaltine After Being Given Expired Food
Ovaltine went viral online after giving a one-year supply to a grandmother who was paid with expired products for doing laundry.
Over the past few days, an elderly woman became the center of attention online after a touching gesture from a popular drink brand. Lola Verginia, who works hard doing laundry to earn a living, was sadly paid with expired food instead of money for her services.
Because she cannot speak, read, or hear, she had no idea that the food she received was already expired.
“Hindi po nakakapagsalita, nakakabasa and nakakarinig po ang lola ko Kaya hindi nga din po alam,” the uploader said.
The elderly woman’s grandchild shared a video showing the grandma’s confused reaction upon receiving the expired items.
“Kitang kita ko kung paano niyo bigyan ng puro expired na pagkain ang lola ko, pinaglalaba niyo maghapon kapalit ng expired na pagkain na tuwang tuwa naman siya kasi hindi niya alam,” the uploader added.
